When Arab Terror Isn't Called Terrorism
According to the FBI, it isn’t terrorism when Jews are murdered. . .

Moments after the initial news reports I instantly felt I knew what happened. Just as so many rational Americans intuitively knew the source of the September 11 attacks, I knew it again must have been an act of Arab/Islamic terror. The headline – gunmen murders two, injures four at El Al (Israeli airline) ticket counter of LA International Airport – certainly provided more than enough information. Who else other than Arab/Islamic terrorists would attack El Al? A friend cautioned against a rush to judgment, yet logic offered very few alternate conclusions. How could anyone deny this was an act of terror? Of course the FBI can and has denied it. Despite the fact an eyewitness reported the individual was firing "directly at Israelis or the people of El Al," the FBI immediately, repeatedly denied terror was the motive, claiming to the contrary that “there was no indication of a terrorist connection.” Apparently the FBI doesn’t consider it terrorism if it’s only a matter of Jewish victims.

If not for the professionals at El Al it would have been even worse. Yet that does not lessen the impact of the tragedy suffered. A beautiful young woman who worked at El Al and a man with eight children (and a pregnant wife) were massacred. It was obviously a case of Arab terror, a fact I realized early on, even prior to the release of the assailant’s identity. Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, a 41-year-old Egyptian native, was identified as the main culprit late in the evening. The fact is an Egyptian native chose to attack an Israeli target on America’s Independence Day. He also struck on the heels of a Hamas directive ordering attacks on Zionist and American sites.

Shortly after the event El Al officials, the Israeli consulate and the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced this was an act of terrorism. It’s important to note that the Israeli government has gone out of its way in the past to rule out Arab terror whenever possible, as was the case with the tragic Israeli wedding hall collapse months ago. But the nation of Israel felt no trepidation when categorizing this event. So why should America and its “famed” FBI be so reluctant to admit the obvious truth?

The FBI fails to offer any other motive for Hadayet’s attack; it has no plausible alternatives to spin. So why are there such vociferous denials? Maybe the FBI is more concerned with soothing anxious, wary Americans and only secondarily occupied with putting pressure on Arab terrorists. And perhaps the FBI, a beleaguered, abusive government entity that is currently depriving the rights of innocent Americans -- two innocent Jews come directly to mind -- simply doesn’t care about a few dead Jews here and there.

As the western world continues on the path of Arab appeasement, our shortsighted leaders ensure that more Arab terror is right around the corner. Therefore, world Jewry must be prepared. Take part in the safeguarding of communities. Dismiss irrational fears surrounding weaponry and learn self-defense techniques. Enhance the security of soft targets through the employment of armed guards. And help the Jewish Defense League put words into action. Never Again.
