Site Update for June

We’re working diligently on the features and content of our new site. We are in the process of clearing out all of the “lorem ipsum” placeholder text currently found in many of our sections. We also will be restructuring the section hierarchy in our Activities and Threats categories to better organize our site content. Expanded content is coming, but please understand that we are very short staffed and have to balance a number of online and offline JDL priorities.

Importantly we will soon be debuting new discussion forums with exclusive member areas. Please stay tuned for details.

Regarding our blog, we apologize for the issue that prevented non-logged-in users from posting comments. Those who are not logged in now can submit comments that will be held for moderator approval. We intended to have this feature turned on before, but for the last couple of months only logged in users could participate because of an oversight on our end.

Finally, there are a large number of people who have signed up using our membership form that did not complete the process by making a donation for membership. We’re very pleased to have so many people signing up, but those who have done so will need to complete the process in order to gain membership in JDL. The large number of sign-ups has also made it more likely that some who have completed the membership sign up process may not have gotten their accounts approved yet. If you fall into that category please email us and we will correct the problem quickly.
