JDL Predicted Developments of Fort Hood Attack Story

Soon after the initial reports of the attack at Fort Hood broke, JDL was ahead of the news in predicting that the country was dealing with an attack that had a radical Islamic component. According to JDL chairman Shelley Rubin, “This attack was recognizable early on as an act of Muslim aggression. No other explanation could have fit the circumstances.“ The perpetrator, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, was apparently looking to strike out against America for its wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and he had exhibited a number troubling of warning signs that were apparently ignored by the military.

JDL is convinced that there is more to the story than officials are reporting. It was previously reported that Hassan was shot to death, but the military later revealed he was alive and not near death. We agree with Bill O’Reilly that it’s difficult to imagine how one shooter could have killed and injured so many people on a military base single handedly. We believe there are important details that have yet to be revealed. Additionally, JDL points to the high levels of recruitment of Arabs and Muslims in not only the American armed forces but also law enforcement, including at the FBI and CIA. Many individuals have been hired as translators and for their knowledge of the Arab/Islamic world, and as a result it’s hard to imagine that Hassan will be the only rogue Muslim government employee to ever strike out against the United States.

Decent Muslims have an obligation to unconditionally condemn the strain of Islamic theology that compels their coreligionists to commit these heinous acts. And decent Jews must recognize the urgent need to improve their defenses. This brazen attack has demonstrated that even a core part of America’s national defense is incredibly susceptible to terrorist attack. Along with faith in G-d, Jews must arm themselves.

 

JDL Reacts to the D.C. Holocaust Museum Shooting

In response to Wednesday’s shooting at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by James Von Brunn, an avowed Jew-hater, the Jewish Defense League is appealing to American Jews to buy weapons and ammunition. “And we will train every single willing Jew in America to own and use them, if they don’t know how already,“ said Shelley Rubin, JDL chairman.

JDL sees a clear link between this attack and the anti-Jewish policies of the Obama Administration. “Because of his appeasement of terrorism and Jew-hatred, President Obama has further imperiled the security of Jews and Jewish sites worldwide,“ Rubin said. “Furthermore, by pointing a gun at the head of the state of Israel to give away even more of the Jewish people’s homeland to the Arab terrorist fifth column that occupies it, Barack Obama has strengthened Jew-haters of all stripes and emboldened them to attack.“
