Alert: Democrats Need to Vote for Congressman Jane Harman

Democrats in the 36th Congressional District of California absolutely need to vote for Jane Harman in tomorrow’s primary. Harman is being challenged by a despicably anti-American and anti-Israel Progressive (far left-wing) candidate, Marcy Winograd. Winograd has accused Harman (along with other elected officials) of being a tool of Israel, and she apparently has no qualms about characterizing supporters of Israel as traitors. Winograd doesn’t realize that she’s the traitor, the one giving aid and comfort to America’s enemies both foreign and domestic. The voters of the 36th district need to tell this disgusting individual where to take her anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Jewish views.

However, just so that JDL isn’t misunderstood, we’re not generally supportive of Democrats. We would like to see Jane Harman defeated in the general election by a Republican (assuming the Republican were a decent candidate). But people of conscience sometimes need to pick the lesser of two evils, and Harman definitely is in this case. It would be an absolute travesty if this pig Winograd were to unseat her. Winograd got around 37% of the vote when she took on Harman in 2008, and now she has picked up the support of the Howard Dean political machine. We therefore have to take this political threat very seriously. Tell everyone you know or can get a hold of to support Harman over Winograd. This is an essential action alert for the future of America and Israel!

Israel Haters to Target Trader Joe’s on “National Day to De-Shelve Israeli Products”

On Saturday, June 20, a militant anti-Israel group will be attempting to threaten, harass and intimidate Trader Joe’s markets (and customers) to stop selling goods produced in Israel. Not only have they promised to leaflet in front of stores, they have threatened to de-shelve products in the stores. They may try to open, deface or destroy these products on store shelves. They may also attempt to steal merchandise. We need everyone to buy all Israeli products from Trader Joe’s next Saturday and tell the store manager to keep them coming. All friends of Israel should visit their local Trader Joe’s on Saturday, June 20th.* (Those who are Shomer Shabbat are asked to shop on the 19th and explain to the manager about what may take place the next day and why you will continue shopping at Trader Joe’s for stocking Israeli-made products.)

If you see someone tampering with or stealing any products–especially those listed below–call attention to what they are doing and immediately call for store security.

Here’s Trader Joe’s answer to those calling for a boycott of Israeli products from their stores: “Our response is that we sell products, and do not use our products as political tools or to make any statements about any political causes. We have no intention of removing any products based on pressure from any group, no matter what they support or don’t support. As always, we believe our customers are smart, and they are capable of making decisions about what they purchase.“ Right on, TJs!

Sunday Morning Protest at CBS

I know this is very short notice, but JDL needs your help. Tomorrow (Sunday, August 13) at 10 a.m. sharp, JDL will hold a short demo outside CBS Television City, 7800 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036, in protest of the Mike Wallace segment that will be aired on 60 Minutes later in the day. At this time of day, there is a lot of street parking available. This protest will not take longer than 1 hour.

Mike Wallace, a self-hating Jew, came out of a much needed retirement to do a puff piece with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Besides trying to arm his country with nuclear weapons and funding terrorist organizations such as Hizbollah and Hamas, Ahmadinejad is a virulent Jew-hater. Ahmadinejad has said the Jews “have created a myth in the name of the Holocaust and consider it above God, religion and the prophets.“ And he promises to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

Wallace comments on the broadcast that Ahmadinejad is not anti-Jewish, he’s just anti-Israel. And Wallace remarks how classy the guy dresses and conducts himself—that he’s really a nice guy.

We can only imagine how Mike Wallace would have described Adolf Hitler.

Please help us show our disgust at CBS and Mike Wallace for putting out a positive public relations piece on this latter-day Hitler, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Again, I know the notice is short, but the information about the Wallace interview was aired in the media yesterday. We had no alternative but to schedule the demo for Sunday morning. When public opinion is turning against Israel, we have to show that there are people who still stand up for Jews.

Please take an hour or two out of your Sunday and join us at 10 a.m. at CBS Television City. Bring Israeli flags. Bring your friends. Just be there with us! Then you can go to Canter’s, or—better yet—a kosher deli for brunch afterward!
