JDL takes pop culture very seriously based on the view that passively allowing even subtle forms of Jew-hatred to permeate a culture will augment threats to Jews. JDL has waged a number of  campaigns against celebrities who exhibit hatred toward Jews. We believe that manifestations of Jew-hatred in pop culture does encourage others to emulate those examples and that Jewish indifference toward such hatred fuels more severe hatred in turn. Thus, JDL takes these incidents very seriously.
