JDL believes that one of the biggest failures of mainstream, well-funded modern Jewish organizations and federations is a failure to educate Jewish youth in the basics of Judaism. Untold numbers of Jews have been condemned to ignorance of Jewish history and Judaism even though Jews in wealthy countries have more than enough communal resources to properly educate Jewish youth.

The Jewish people survived thousands of years of persecution through an empasis on Jewish education. Unfortunately, those tasked with continuing that task in modern times have failed, and far too many Jewish parents place nearly all of their emphasis on secular education. Therefore, JDL seeks to partially fill the void with a variety of educational resources, which are coming to our new site soon.
