About JDL

Shelley Rubin is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Jewish Defense League, responsible for ideological and strategic direction, organizational development, activities coordination and daily administration of JDL. Shelley has been a member of JDL since 1979, served from 1985-2006 as Administrative Director, primarily under the leadership of her husband, late JDL International Chairman Irv Rubin, and has served as Chairman and CEO of JDL since 2006.

Ari Rubin is the Vice President of the Jewish Defense League, responsible for the formulation and implementation of organizational strategies, organizational development, corporate and legal governance, Internet and technology design, production and administration. The elder son of Shelley and Irv Rubin, Ari is a life-long JDL member and began taking on leadership roles within the organization when JDL went online in 1995. Ari has served as the primary webmaster of jdl.org since 1998 and took on the role of corporate Vice President in 2006.

John Schaefer is the Firearms Defense Coordinator of the Jewish Defense League. An NRA certified firearms instructor, John Schaefer has been a dedicated member and leader of the Jewish Defense League since the late 1990s.
