The Quiet Holocaust: Part 4

Know Your Enemy

by Meira Bat Avraham

Christian missionizing to Jews, in an effort to convert them to belief in Jesus, is based in part on their need to justify the deviation from Jesus' teachings and adherence to Torah toward more pagan concepts of G-d. It is also based on their conviction that, pursuant to Revelations, one of the books of the Christian Bible, which they call the "New Testament," all Jews must either die or convert before Jesus can return.

The Baptist mission to spread the Gospel to Jews, which is now heavily funded, includes actual education of Baptist congregants in how best to persuade individual Jews to accept Jesus. This is the job of the Missionary to the Jews, funded by Baptist Convention monies. He has devoted himself full-time to teaching other Christians how to convert us.

We do not have access to the actual textbooks, if any, used for these teachings. However, a number of web sites exist which demonstrate exactly the type of arguments to be used by Christians to convert Jews. Two of the most interesting are:

www.homezone.com/amf/ -- which teaches Christians how to educate Jews about their need for Jesus, and

http://shell.rmi.net/~menorah/ -- which is a site similar in nature to the goshen site, but which allows you to subscribe to a newsletter; they have two versions, one for Christians, and one, less obviously missionizing, for Christians to provide to their Jewish "friends."

If you become unduly nauseated by your exploration of these sites, the antidote is the Jews for Judaism site on the web. Jews for Judaism is the largest countermissionary organization in the world, and is dedicated to combatting Christian missionizing to the Jews. The site, at www.jewsforjudaism.org, contains useful information about missionary strategies, explanations of many of the important issues, and an email site where you can request additional information.

For those of you interested in learning more about other counter-missionary efforts and refuting missionary teachings, of note are the home pages Outreach Judaism (www.outreachjudaism.org), directed by Rabbi Tovia Singer, and Torah Life and Living (http://www.shemayisrael.co.il/orgs/toralife). The above organizations specialize in developing in-depth refutations to groups such as "Jews for Jesus" and Messianic "Jews."

The term "KNOW YOUR ENEMY" is extremely important in our fight to protect our community, and you are urged to research Christian and apostate Jewish missionary efforts in order to better defend your Judaism.
