We the undersigned Rabbis feel that a Chilul Hashem (an action that brings disrespect to both G-d and the Jewish Community) has been perpetrated by a particularly desperate individual who seeks publicity by claiming to be a "Rabbi," and making other claims, especially he has the audacity to dare claim he speaks in the name of the Jewish community, and having support of great rabbis, who are not alive and have passed into the world to come, by supporting a Jew-hater, one Pat Buchanan, for President of the United States.

This individual, Nachum Shifren, of Los Angeles, California, is only interested in media publicity and attaining notoriety, not what is best for the Jewish community, by supporting a known Jew-hater and neo-nazi sympathizer for President which will surely be bad for Jews. We the undersigned hereby declare that Mr. Shifren not only does not speak on behalf of any known Rabbinical organization, he does not speak for the Jewish community in any way shape or form. He is, by his lies, doing much harm to Jews everywhere.

As a result of his embarrassment of the Jewish community and his desecration of the Almighty's name we the undersigned Rabbis hereby declare Mr. Shifren to be a sarev l'din (under order of this Court) to cease his misrepresentation and is placed under an order of excommunication from the Jewish community until such a time he renounces his support of this individual and publicly apologizes to the Jewish community for such an embarrassment.

This siruv means that one may not walk within 12 feet of the excommunicated, count him for a miyan ( count him for religious activities) or accord him any honors (kavod) within the Jewish community nor can any Jewish person transact business with this individual.
