Every person knowledgeable about Jewish history is aware of the effectiveness of the Jewish Defense League in bringing the plight of Jews in the Soviet Union to light. Since JDL's inception and until the floodgates were opened for Jewish emigration from Russia/the Soviet Union, the JDL was the bane of that Evil Empire and its henchmen, the KGB. Please read the following snippet from the October 1999 issue of "Dateline: World Jewry," a publication of the World Jewish Congress to see how the KGB tried to create racial problems in America and to discredit JDL, the only activist Jewish organization to this date.

Ex-KGB officer Vasili Mitrokhin, in his newly published book The Mitrokhin Archive, describes a 1971 KGB plot to stir up racial hatred in the United States by bombing an African American target and blaming it on the Jewish Defense League, a militant Jewish group.

Mitrokhin writes that in another of the KGB's bizarre attempts to smear Jews, Soviet agents fabricated anti-Black pamphlets purporting to come from the JDL and designed to exacerbate Black-Jewish tensions.
